Meet these Rising Stars - Part 2

The third EO Gurgaon GSEA took off with a bang! 

Of the 315 applications received from all over the country, 30 were shortlisted as Semi-finalists. They set the stage on fire with their innovative businesses and flawless pitches. 

At stake apart from the all-important title of the Winner of EO Gurgaon GSEA 2021 is are exciting cash prizes of Rs.1,80,000 for the winner and Rs.70,000 for the runner up. Further, the students also stand a chance to win in-kind prizes sponsored by ijaipuria, Smartworks and Peak Performers.

Aside from all the exciting prizes, the GSEA offers, once in a lifetime opportunities for the students to capitalize upon and build their nascent businesses into mammoth success stories. From networking with like-minded peers and leaders in the business arena, to getting mentored by fellow entrepreneurs and industry stalwarts, the participating student entrepreneurs experience a learning curve unlike any other. 

The media attention received both nationally and internationally by these start-ups give accessibility to further opportunities for the young entrepreneurs to encash upon and become the leaders of tomorrow. 

Today, as we move a day closer to the grand finale of EO Gurgaon’s GSEA, allow us to introduce you to the finalists who floored us in the semis:

Evergreen Thrift Store

By revolutionizing the second-hand and thrift-fashion sector of the country with her venture, the "Evergreen Thrift Store", founder Isha Sharda seeks to reduce the carbon footprint the various fast-fashion brands have left on the planet. The aim is to build a consumer-centric business online and nurture customer loyalty through a personalized, innovative and interactive approach. 

Edenue

Vidisha Goyal envisions taking home-based education up a notch with Edenue. Through innovative approaches to learning, Edenue teaches over 4000 students modern skills, real time in live batches, around the globe. 

Asbah

Through Asbah, entrepreneur Abhishek Jain, takes on the mammoth and noble task of making clean and highly affordable drinking water available to everyone. Via this initiative, community water filtration plants have been set up in urban slums and rural areas. Over 550 families are currently benefiting from this initiative that provides 20 litres of drinking water at Rs 4 only. What's more, the plant also hires women from the communities it caters to and helps them gain independence. Once the plant runs satisfactorily, it's put on autopilot mode and handed over to the women who run it. Asbah has already successfully set up 17 plants in 6 states across India. 

Kavach

Sanya Khunger, the founder of the education-management start-up Kavach, provides customized consultation and top-notch academic mentorship to help young students fulfil their academic aspirations. Empanelled with Kavach are experienced educationists, alumni from the top colleges of India and other professionals from the industry. With a keen emphasis on students' mental health, this start-up is designed to enable students to deal with unfortunate but common issues like stress, lack of motivation and student-related mental health issues.

Vilagio Movements

Founder and entrepreneur Vasav Gupta, with a minimalistic approach to life, envisions creating a sustainable ecosystem for all. Vilagio Movements grows and sells organic fruits and vegetables by organizing interactive and fun events where people enjoy themselves and also learn about the importance and value of natural resources. 

These magnetic entrepreneurs are all set to prove their mettle to win the all-important title of the winner. Helping them along the way are dedicated mentors for all finalists. These mentors are esteemed EO Gurgaon members and passionate entrepreneurs who go above and beyond to help young student entrepreneurs achieve their goals. But more on that in the next blog!
